	2009.10.20  19.19 HOLY SHIT, SON So, how come no one ever told me there was an early 1960s movie where Shirley Maclaine and Audrey Hepburn play a lesbian couple? I mean, yeah, okay, [spoilers]in canon it's one-sided romantic love on the part of Shirley Maclaine's character, but still. Audrey Hepburn's character still asked her to go away with her in the end! And even after the inevitable AWFUL TRAGIC ending that I dared to hope wouldn't happen...happened anyway in the last five minutes, I was at least glad that Audrey Hepburn's character got to walk off on her own with her head held high, mourning her maybe-friend-maybe-could-have-been-more, and specifically NOT ending up back with her fiance for some traditional ~all's well that ends well~ 50s movie ending.[spoilers] Seriously, though. Even if this is probably one of the original examples people cite for evidence of the dead lesbian trope in film, and I'm probably a huge n00b for never having heard of it before, I was kind of stoked to see it just now. I love Shirley Maclaine and I love Audrey Hepburn; they're two of my very favorite actresses from that time period. This is why Turner Classic Movies is great. This and the Harold Pinter BDSM, incest, and class warfare flicks.

It's Grimm's Fairy Tales fic, Briar Rose/Snow White, entitled Memories of You Being Beautiful, and it's just great.

	2008.12.20  02.56 [not fanart art] porn + building So I was flipping through a book the other day that said the ancient Romans were even more hung up and repressed about fellatio than they were about any kind of penetrative sex. Though cunninlingus was apparently considered even more ~*~horribly shameful~*~ than fellatio. Which is to say, one of these days my repression kink would demand I should draw some het toga porn. And then I should read about Roman lesbians and do some of that too. 	2008.12.16  21.57 WHY THE HELL AM I WATCHING STRAWBERRY PANIC I really don't know. (...okay, that's a lie. I'm probably watching it for the same reasons everyone else watches it.) So, in this scene from episode 13, which I have screencapped for your viewing pleasure (yes, these subtitles are all real), a tall dark bishoujo has just backed a little moeblob into a corner. "MUAHAHAHAHAHA YES, MY DEAR, THERE IS NO ESCAPE." *twirls mustaches* ( 'Now hold still while I explain the hoax of global warming to you.' ('OH GOD, NO, ANYTHING BUT THAT!') )

	2008.12.09  01.22 [fanart] Something from Kurenai I don't think I've mentioned Kurenai to you all before. It's a short 12 episode anime about a young man who works as a "conflict mediator". Which in practice seems to be a lot like working for the mob, only FOR JUSTICE. And the animation and character design are unusually groovy and gorgeous. And he's mentored by a lot of hot assassin women. Particularly Benika, the head of the organization Kurenai works for In a more just world (or one which catered to me personally, whichever comes first) there would be a large fandom full of yuri for this show. There isn't, but hey, now I'm doing my small part. Series is all on Veoh over here. And I drew some Benika/Lin somewhere between beating the crap out of each other and doing it on the desk. In high heels. The fighting in heels bit is canon. IDEK. ( This is worksafe, though. I don't know where I went wrong. )

	2008.11.12  17.35 [fanart] Simoun porn and yet it is yuri I was flipping through the requests from the last Yuri challenge, and someone had asked for Simoun, Amuria/Neviril/Aeru. Well, it's sort of an obvious thing but I hadn't really thought about it before (and given all the uncertainty in the end about just what really happened to Amuria at the beginning, it's not even necessarily against canon). It could still happen at some unspecified point in the future. Really in the future--say, they all end up three thousand years into the future at the end and...I don't know. Together they fight crime. And have lots of sex on rooftops. ( As usual, ~*~Not Safe for Work~*~ )

	2008.10.31  17.40 SSBB yuri special out now The SSBB yuri special is out! As always, it's full of excellent authors writing original f/f stories, and you should read everything. Including woodburner's story Sun Wolf, which I did two illustrations for and so got to read beforehand. \o/

FFFFFF so I'm assuming here that Haku is about half again as old as he is in canon (which would make this necessarily AU), but I still couldn't help myself. 	2008.09.26  09.43 [fanart] Claymore, NSFW I'd meant to put this on the insanejournal porn battle yesterday, but my internet flaked out for a day. :/ Also, this is me doing a drawing fast for once, so it's a little rough. Anyhow, someone gave a Riful/Miria Claymore prompt. Because after all, Riful is always trying in earnest to recruit some of the cooler Claymores to be her "allies" if you know what I mean and I think you do. There's even a chance she might end up fighting on the same side as they are, at least temporarily, given that neither the Abyssal Ones nor Clare's Magnificent Seven AWOL Claymores (but particularly Miria) are too keen on the Organization anymore. So, you know--maybe it's crack and maybe not. (Now I suppose tentacle porn is only TOO OBVIOUS for this...this is not precisely that, although once again it does appear to be imminent. And once again, my speculation on just how being half-monster may have disfigured the Claymores' human bodies explains some of the crotch antennae weirder things about this picture.) And one way or another, if all three of them are together, they cease to be post-able on any nsfw 4chan board. So I suppose that there might be some huge untapped reserve of 3 Sannin smut art out there, but as I mainly use 4chan for finding such things, I wouldn't know about it if there is. ( TENTACLE PORN IS IMMINENT but this is already highly not worksafe )
