I really don't know. (...okay, that's a lie. I'm probably watching it for the same reasons everyone else watches it.)
So, in this scene from episode 13, which I have screencapped for your viewing pleasure (yes, these subtitles are all real), a tall dark bishoujo has just backed a little moeblob into a corner.
"MUAHAHAHAHAHA YES, MY DEAR, THERE IS NO ESCAPE." *twirls mustaches*
